A photographic element which is sensitive to flash exposure is placed in contact with an original to be reproduced and guided around a glass cylinder 2 by an endless conveyer belt 7 and is exposed by ignition of a flash tube 1 inside the cylinder. Insertion of the element into guide 8 operates contact 16<SP>1</SP> to start a driving motor for the conveyer belt 7 and for rotation of cam 12. Projection 12<SP>1</SP> on the cam operates switch 13 to ignite the tube 1 when the element has been fed into position around the cylinder and recess 12<SP>11</SP> allows switch 14 to open and stop the motor upon delivery of the element. The voltage applied to the flash tube is controlled by a stabilizer circuit and is adjustable, the flash time of the tube is 1 x 10<SP>-3</SP> to 1 x 10<SP>-4</SP> seconds, and the power input is 600 to 1000 watt-seconds. |
