The pest-control appliance consists of a pressurized container (2) containing a mixture (3) of water and solid material. An inflow pipe (6) possessing a shut-off element (5) is connected to the pressurized container which has an integral accumulator (4). The container and or accumulator has/have a filler valve (7), excess pressure valve (8), at least one handle (9), and rapid-closure lid (11). The free end of the inflow pipe has a seal (10) in the form of a tread-plate.
