CONNECTION SCALAR QUANTIZER

摘要

PURPOSE: A connection scalar quantizer is provided to reduce the number of memory and bit by applying a sound coder of 4Kbps proposed to ITU-T, SG 16, and QN 21. CONSTITUTION: The connection scalar quantizer comprises: code books(10) of M numeral located according to each order number when performing quantization for M-order line spectrum frequency; and a quantization unit(30) for quantizing each of M-order line spectrum frequencies, selecting one code book according to the size of adjacent line spectrum frequency of code books allocated to each line frequency; quantizing each line spectrum by referring the selected code book.
