PURPOSE: A recognizing device of a number plate of a vehicle is provided to previously prevent a safety accident as well as to use itself when processing the accident by photographing a number plate of an assault vehicle when a contact accident is occurred or in the moment of an accident. CONSTITUTION: A recognizing device of a number plate of a vehicle is formed by: a sensing piece(10) for sensing an impact given to a vehicle when a contact accident is occurred on the front or the rear face of a vehicle; a photographing piece(20) consisting of a small camera or a camcorder and the like and installed on the front or the rear face of a vehicle to photograph a number plate of an assault vehicle with the sensing piece when a contact accident is occurred; and a protecting piece(30) installed on the outer circumference of the photographing piece to protect the photographing piece.
