The lamp has a frame for supporting the lamp filament (4) having at least one hooked holder (7) from which the lamp filament is suspended. The free end (7a) of the hooked holder is bent to provide a narrowed insertion opening for the lamp filament. Pref. the lamp filament is suspended from a U-shaped section of the hooked holder, with the free end provided at the end of one arm of the U-shaped section and bent at right angles to the arm for restricting the distance between the arms.
