<p>A method of providing a line of weakness in packaging film used to package articles such as cigarettes or toiletries. The film is subjected to treatment with a laser beam so as to form an elongate groove in the film. The line of weakness formed by the groove is torn to facilitate removal of the article from the packaging.</p> |
