The crankshaft drive comprises a driven device having an axially extending opening in it, a crankshaft having an axis, and an axially extending drive device integral with the crankshaft and having an axis eccentrically located with respect to the axis of the crankshaft. The drive device is located in the opening of the driven device for rotatably driving the driven device. A beating device in the opening permits relative movement between the driving and driven device. The bearing device includes a number of bearing elements located in the opening between the drive device and the driven device and movable w.r.t. both the drive device and the driven device whereby when the drive device coacts with the driven device through the bearing device, the drive device and the driven device rotate as a unit and there is a substantial reduction in resistance to relative movement between the drive device and the driven device.
