Transmission has a gear box having at least one drive shaft locked to the wheel of the vehicle and at least one input shaft connectable to a vehicle motor through a clutch comprising a control lever (10) actuated by a conductor to allow selection and passage of different gear ratios. A Hall effect pickup (36) detects actuation of the lever and is connected with at least the brake of the vehicle. The Hall effect pick-up (36) finger (40) is staged and comprises three notches (Cp. Co, Ct) of increasing length and extending longitudinally to define opposite to the coil (38), when the rod (12) pivots around its axis in the sheath (18), three decreasing gaps (ep, eo, et) associated with two extreme positions and an intermediate neutral position of the rod (12).
