PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a nitrogen gas concentration in a work machining part constant regardless of opening/closing operation of opening/closing doors, by shutting off the work machining part from outside air with the inner and outer opening/closing doors, and by keeping the work machining part in a nitrogen gas atmosphere at any time. SOLUTION: A metal tool T provided to a lower end of a main spindle is changed in an automatic tool changing part 300 corresponding to a work W to be machined and then, a slide type opening/closing door 10 is closed. The work W loaded on a turning type pallet device in a work changing part 400 is positioned in a work machining part 200. In this state, a partition plate 15 at a center position of a reverse turning pallet TP is closed to block an airtight chamber L1. Atmosphere side opening/closing doors 30, 40 in airtight chambers L2, L3 are also closed. In such a state, nitrogen gas N is fed from a nitrogen generation device 80 to a point of the tool T through a passage (h) within the tool T.
