PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment apparatus for wastewater contg, phosphate ions which not only can prevent the formation of a passive-state film but also can maintain the phosphorus removal efficiency. SOLUTION: This apparatus is a treatment apparatus P1 which is installed in a wastewater teatment vessel having anaerobic vessels and comprises an electrolytic cell 3 of which the wastewater treament chamber having a flow-in port and a flow-out port for wastewater is partitioned by a partition wall and which causes iron ions and/or aluminum ions to be electrochemically eluted into wastewater contg, phosphate ions by using at least one pair of electrodes contg, iron and/or aluminum; an agitation vessel installed at the downstream side of the electolytic cell 3; and a supply means 5 for supplying wastewater in an anaerobic state from the second anaerobic vessel B to the electrolytic cell 3.
