PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device by which a powdery coating material is stuck to the surface of a taper part of a can cap and, furthermore, the stuck quantity thereof can be uniformalized over the whole surface. SOLUTION: In a coating device in which a taper part 7 inclined so that its diameter is described toward the central part is formed successively to the outer periphery of a panel part 5, and a can cap 4 in which a coating film is applied over the surface of the panel part 5 and the surface of the taper part 7 is held, and also a powdery coating material is fed toward the surface of the can cap 4 on which the coating film is formed, and unstuck powdery coating material not stuck on the surfaces on which the coating film is formed is recovered, there are provided a shield member 28 abutted on the outer peripheral part of the taper part 7 and rotated with the can cap 4, a nozzle 46 for jetting the powdery coating material along the inner periphery of the shield member 28 and toward the inclined surface of the taper part 7, and an air intake means 45 positioned on the central side of the can cap 4 on which the shield member 28 is abutted from the nozzle 46 and for sucking the unstuck powdery coating material to recover it.
