PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste vinyl chloride resin to give a paste vinyl chloride resin sol having excellent processability and giving a fabricated article without such problems as the occurrence to surface dry spots and environment pollution, and to provide a paste vinyl chloride resin compsn. comprising the resin. SOLUTION: A vinyl chloride resin for a paste, and a preparing process therefor as well as a vinyl chloride resin compsn. comprising the resin and a preparing process therefor is such that a vinyl chloride resin for a paste contains an aliphatic hydrocarbon with a b.p higher than 300 deg.C and of 0.2-20 pts.wt. relative to 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride-based polymer, with the vinyl chloride resin being formed in such a way that an aq. dispersion of the vinyl chloride-based polymer has an aliphatic hydrocarbon dispersed in it, which aq. dispersion being dried, thus the vinyl chloride resin obtained contains uniformly the aliphatic hydrocarbon.
