PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the printing mechanism of a printing device to exhibit its maximum capacity so as to print efficiently in perfecting print in a printing control apparatus such as a host computer that permits a printing device for conducting print every page unit and capable of printing on both the obverse and reverse surfaces of a sheet-like printing medium to print. SOLUTION: Printing data is taken in a printing data buffer from a spooler in accordance with a printing command (S301). The number of pages of printing data within the buffer is calculated (S302), and if the number of pages calculated is one page, a printing guarantee mode is set (S303, 304), if two or three pages, a low speed mode is set (S305, S306), if four or five pages, a medium speed mode is set (S307, S308), and if six pages or more, a high speed mode is set. At each mode of low speed, medium speed, and high speed, perfecting print is conducted in order of respective different pages. |
