<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a mechanism part for locking or unlocking steering. SOLUTION: This motor-driven steering locking device is provided with an electric motor 26 to be a drive source of a mechanism part for locking or unlocking steering, switching elements 15, 16 for performing on-off control of the electric motor 26, and a CPU 11 for controlling the switching action of the switching elements 15, 16. The CPU 11 outputs a lock signal or an unlock signal to turn on the switching elements 15, 16 to drive the electric motor 26, and the mechanism part is actuated by the driving force of the electric motor 26 to lock or unlock steering. Such a steering locking device is provided with mechanical contacts 32, 33 turning off the switching elements 15, 16 to instantaneously cut off a current flowing to the electric motor 26 when the action of the mechanism part stops to complete locking or unlocking of steering.</p> |
