PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade device having an auxiliary blade plate capable of easily handling in light and heavy operations and having no fear of being broken during the heavy operation. SOLUTION: Supporting cylindrical bearing members 14 provided at the right and left ends of a main blade 11 and a rotating cylindrical bearing member 21 provided at the rear end of an auxiliary blade plate 20 are freely rotationally connected together by a connecting pin 22 to allow the auxiliary blade plate 20 to freely rotate horizontally. A locking means 30 for locking the auxiliary blade plate 20 is provided selectively in one of a position that is almost perpendicular to the front of the main blade 11, a position that is almost perpendicular to the rear, and a position that is at an obtuse angle to the front. When the auxiliary blade plate 20 is locked in the position that is almost perpendicular to the rear, the auxiliary plate plate 20 is located inside of the outer peripheral contour of the main blade 11.
