PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a central ventilation unit capable of obtaining air-cleaning, sterilization and deodorization effects by effecting total building ventilation without circulating indoor air. SOLUTION: In a central ventilation unit 1 for cleaning outdoor air introduced through a fresh air intake 3 opened in a main body case 2 and supplying the air into a room, an air cleaner 15 having a photocatalyst and an ozone generator capable of simultaneously producing ozone and negative ions is installed in the main body case 2. By this constitution, since the air cleaner 15 having the photocatalyst and the ozone generator is installed in the main body case 2 of the central ventilation unit 1, sterilization and deodorization by ozone produced by the ozone generator and health maintenance of health of a resident by the negative ions useful for a human body can be contrived in addition to cleaning of the introduced fresh air by the photocatalyst by effecting a total building ventilation without circulating indoor air. |
