PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an inexpensive thermal transfer image receiving sheet of sufficient surface smoothness for providing the sufficient image density and sufficient resistance to folds and creases, in which antistatic power sufficient for preventing electrostatic interference under the low temperature is provided, traveling is smooth and omission and unevenness of records are reduced. SOLUTION: A thermal transfer image receiving sheet to be used in combination with a sublimation thermal transfer sheet is provided with a substrate, an acceptive layer for accepting a sublimable dye and an antistatic layer, and the substrate is a laminated film formed of a polyester film (a layer A) containing cavities derived from incompatible resin and a polyester film (a layer B) containing fine cavities derived from inorganic fine particles laminated together, and the cavity content of the layer B is 20 vol.% or more, and the thickness is 1-20 μm and the thickness of the layer B is less than 30% of the total laminated film thickness and the apparent specific gravity of the whole of the film is less than 1.3. |
