PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent extremely bad influences from occurring during the period of print-recording operation of code images even when the looseness of an ink ribbon exists within a cartridge disposed detachably. SOLUTION: The printing control part 161 operates to feed idly the predetermined quantity of an ink ribbon housed within a cartridge by means of an ink ribbon delivery part 162 in terms of input operation with respect to the first printing SW 194 after ON-operation with respect to the electric power source 195. Furthermore, it also operates to feed idly a predetermined quantity of an ink ribbon by means of the ink ribbon delivery part 162 on the basis of input operation with respect to the first printing SW 194 after the detection of cartridge installation by means of a cartridge detection part 170.
