<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely convey a sheet of paper through an inexpensive method even in a facedown mode and a perfect printing mode to be done after switching a paper path and simultaneously to prevent any printing failure due to sagging of the paper at the midway of the conveyance, from occurring, in an image former wherein the printing takes place in a faceup state. SOLUTION: A sheet of legal-size paper 120 comes into a standby part 110 completely by a driving roller 103 and a driven roller 104, and it is once held in a sagging state. A rear end of the legal-size paper 120 forcibly presses the driving roller 103, while a press roller 107 presses the rear end of the legal-size paper 120 to another driving roller 106. With each pressing force and driving force of the driving roller 106, the legal-size paper 120 is positively held between the driving roller 103 and the driven roller 105, whereby it is surely conveyed. Since the driving roller 103 is linked up with other conveying systems, the paper will not sag at all.</p> |
