PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monofilament having comfortable chemical and mechanical properties of polytrimethylene terephthalate(PTMT), excellent processability for woven fabric, etc., giving a uniform and skewless fiber web and useful for an industrial fiber product by using a material in which PTMT is added with a polyamide. SOLUTION: This monofilament is composed of a synthetic material in which PTMT as a principal component is added with a polyamide as an adding component. As the adding component, polyamide 11 and/or polyamide 12 is preferable. An adding amount of the polyamide is preferably 10-35 wt.% in the synthetic material. Preferably, a cross sectional area of the monofilament is 0.02-3.5 mm2 and the area is correspondent to 0.08-1 mm of a diameter, when a shape of the cross section is round. An adding component such as a stabilizer to hydrolysis and/or an antioxidant, etc., may be added. In the case, both agents may be added at respectively maximum 5 wt.%. |
