PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grade up a car engine cooling system of conventional type to a level of electronically controlled type. SOLUTION: The wall thickness of the side wall of a center hole in a resilient seal spool to be engaged with a rod of a thermostat 1 is made extra-thin, and a jiggle valve mechanism is eliminated to decrease to half the spring constant of a return spring, and the service temp. range of the thermostat is concentrated to a state changing region in which wax in solid state will liquefy. Interlocking with an electronic cooling fan switch 45, the upper limit of the water temp. is sunk to under 81 deg.C, and them rate of flow of the cooling water is made double the conventional value within 50% of the self-ability, and further a system of electronic control unit 55 is added so that the intended electronically controlled cooling system of car engine is constituted.
