PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting method for a new door in which an existing steel door frame is not required to be removed and hence, the new door frame can be fitted without any necessity for chipping works. SOLUTION: In this fitting method for a new door frame, an existing steel door frame 1 attached to a building frame body 2 is left without removing it and the new door frame 7 is fitted thereto by using the existing door frame 1 as a fitting base. A plurality of fitting pieces 6 which can be adjustably transferred to the indoor and outdoor sides and fixed at the adjusted positions are provided in the existing door frame 1, and the new door frame 7 is butted against these fitting pieces 6 and fixed thereto while using these fitting pieces 6 as fitting references.
