PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fabric having a pattern comprising a part of promoted yarn separation and a part of controlled yarn separation by jetting a high- pressure liquid columnar flow to a fabric passing on a substrate to change the degree of yarn separation of the fabric. SOLUTION: A high-pressure liquid jet flow is jetted to a fabric passing on a substrate of a carved pattern such as a roller or a net conveyor for a fabric. The fabric is shocked to subject the fabric to yarn separation and the degree of yarn separation of the fabric is changed to give the objective fabric having a pattern composed of a part of promoted yarn separation and a part of controlled yarn separation.
