PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand dryer that can improve thermal efficiency and minimize water entering inside the case cover. SOLUTION: The case cover 11 has a front portion 12, at the upper side of a hand insertion section 13, that stores a dryer body 20, and an air sucking portion 71 is provided in the underside 60 of the front portion 12. The air sucking portion 71 has an opening 72 and a water fending-off member 73, and the water fending-off member 73 is formed in a size that allows it to match the peripheral edge of the opening 72, and the water fending-off member 73 is separated from the peripheral edge of the opening 72, and arranged in a position that allows it to overlap the direction of opening.
