PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mix mutually reactive fluids over a prescribed time in a continuous flow by a method in which when an agitator rotates around a shaft in a container, the mixing and turbulence associated with the rotation is made minimum as compared with the movement of fluid particles perpendicular to the radial direction around the shaft. SOLUTION: In a mixer 10, an agitation assembly is installed in a cylindrical chamber formed from an upper part wall, a bottom part wall, and sidewall, and cylindrical agitation rods 20 extend from a central shaft 22 in the radial direction. Fluid introduced from an inlet 32 reaches an outlet 28 through a spiral passage. In this process, each agitation rod 20, when passes through the fluid in the mixer 10, is formed in a vortex shape around the central shaft and produces a turbulent flow in parallel with each agitation rod 20 immediately behind it. As a result, at each radius-directional position of each agitation rod 20, in a plane perpendicular to the radial direction in which each agitation rod 20 extends, or in the local area of a cylinder surface coaxial with the mixer 10, an agitation action is generated, respectively.
