PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for nitrogen-containing waste water, which efficiently removes ammonia nitrogen-nitrite nitrogen.nitrite nitrogen in waste water at the same time in a catalytic wet oxidation treatment. SOLUTION: When waste water containing ammoniaic nitrogen (concentration: NH4+-N), nitrite nitrogen (concentration: NO2--N), and/or nitrate nitrogen (concentration: NO3--N) is subjected to a catalytic wet oxidation treatment in the presence of a solid catalyst while supplying oxygen or oxygen-containing gas to remove the nitrogens, 0<d<0.99×NH4+-N is to be satisfied, where d=NH4+- N-[NO2--N+(5/3)NO3--N] (each concentration unit is g-N/m3). A process where the concentration of each nitrogen and the flow rate of the waste water are measured, a process where the feed rate of the oxygen or the oxygen-containing gas is calculated from each measured value obtained in the above process, and a process where the actual feed rate of the oxygen or the oxygen-containing gas is controlled so as to follow the feed rate calculated in the previous process are carried out so as to satisfy the inequality.
