PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming images whereby an image-constituting agent of a viscosity of a wide range can be used and, high-quality images can be formed at high speed with low consumption of energy without causing feathering and color bleeding. SOLUTION: An image-constituting agent 2 held on an image-constituting agent hold body 1 is stopped by a plate 3 with a slit in accordance with the rotation of the hold body 1. When a piezoelectric element 5 drives on the basis of image signals, the plate 3 with the slit shifts. As a result, the image- constituting agent 2 is drawn from the slit of a leading end of the plate 3 onto the image-constituting agent hold body 1, whereby a liquid film 8 based on image information is formed. The liquid film 8 is transferred sequentially to an image-supporting medium 6 by the rotation of the image-constituting agent hold body 1 and an opposite roll 7, and images are formed. |
