A speed change time constant calculating part calculates a deviation between the arrival change gear ratio i* and the target change gear ratio Ratio 0 and through comparison of the deviation with a preset value, a time constant calculation mode responding to a speed? change demand by a driver is set, and based on a time constant calculation mode and the presence of operation of a select lever, responsiveness of a speed change to the arrival change gear ratio 1* is decided and first and second speed change time constants Tg1 and Tg2 to set a gear shifting speed are calculated.
