PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a granular detergent composition which is used for a commercial cleaning industry and can prevent the formation of aggregates containing a fluorescent brightening agent in a detergent stock tank, in a system for quantitatively supplying a stock liquid diluted in a prescribed detergent concentration into a continuous washer. SOLUTION: This method for producing a high bulk density granular detergent composition comprises mixing inorganic or organic particulate detergent components with each other and subsequently or simultaneously stirring and granulating or mixing the mixture, while spraying a liquid consisting mainly of a nonionic surfactant. Therein, a liquid is sprayed which is prepared by dispersing 1-90 pts.wt. of an aminostilbene type fluorescent brightening agent in 100 pts.wt. of an aqueous solution containing 25-90 wt.% of a mixture selected from polyethylene glycol, a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, and a polyoxypropylenepolyoxyethylene alkyl ether which have an average mol.wt. of 200-2,000. |
