PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain composite foil free from bridge precipitation, and in which the roughness of the surface and back sides is uniformized by applying plating on the outer circumferential part of a metallic drum in which insulating places are insularly formed, recovering precipitated net foil and again applying plating on this net foil. SOLUTION: On the outer circumferential part of a rotary drum 1, insulating places are insularly arranged and formed. From the rotary drum 1 and an electrode part 2 holding a plating soln. 3, 1st and 2nd rotary drum type plating tanks are provided. In the 1st plating tank, the outer circumferential face of the rotary drum 1 is applied with plating, moreover, precipitated metallic net foil 5 is peeled and recovered, and, one side of the back face or both sides of the surface and back in the recovered metallic net foil 5 are again applied with plating in the 2nd plating tank to film-thicken the plating layer. In the film thickening stage of the metallic net foil 5, the surface and back faces of the metallic net foil 5 passed through guide rollers 4 and recovered from the 1st plating tank are reversed, and, the plating is executed with the back face at the time of the forming stage of the metallic net foil 5 in the 2nd plating tank as the surface.
