PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen voids developing in prepreg and not to reduce wetting of laminated plates molded using the prepreg with water, when the prepreg is produced by impregnating an epoxy resin varnish with minute particles incompat ible with the epoxy resin and having rubber elasticity dispersed therein into a sheet-like fiber base, followed by drying. SOLUTION: This prepreg is produced by adding polyethylene glycol-based surfactant to an epoxy resin varnish with minute particles incompatible with the epoxy resin and having rubber elasticity (acrylic rubber minute particles) dispersed therein and impregnating this varnish into a sheet-like fiber base (glass fiber woven cloth), followed by drying. The amount of the polyethylene glycol-based surfactant to be added is pref. 0.1-2 pt(s).wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the resin solid weight.
