PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regularly supply stable air to a gas sensor by providing a plurality of air inlet passages for guiding the air taken through an air intake port to a filter, and carrying the air to the air inlet passage having a low ventilation resistance when the ventilation resistance of the filter is made uneven by exposure to water or dust. SOLUTION: The air introduced through a plurality of air intake ports arranged on both lateral sides of the case 5 of this gas detecting device 1 is sent to the air intake side end surfaces 41, 41 of a filter 40 through air inlet passages 31, 31 halved by a partitioning plate 32 within the case 5. At this time, gas-liquid separation is performed by the air inlet passages 31 of labyrinth structure. The air from which dust is removed by the filter 40 is subjected to detection of gas concentration by a gas sensor 50. At this time, when one of the air intake side end surfaces 41 of the filter 40 is blocked by exposure to water, the air is carried over partitioning walls 32-34 to the air inlet passage 31 side having low ventilation resistance, and passed through the filter 40, whereby the air is stably carried to the gas sensor 50.
