PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cooling effect of an air cycle type cooling device by using air as an operating medium and setting the ratio of the removal volume of a compression means to that of an inflation means in a specific range. SOLUTION: Air piping 13 is connected to a suction port 12 that is formed in a space 2 to be cooled, is passed through the inside of a heat exchanger 6, and is connected to a suction port 88 of a compression means 8. Air piping 14 is connected to a discharge port 8D of the compression means 8, is passed through the inside of a heat exchanger 4, is passed through the inside of the heat exchanger 6, and is connected to a suction port 9S of an inflation means 9. Air piping 16 is connected to a discharge port 9D of the inflation means 9 and is connected to a discharge port 17 that is provided at the space 2 to be cooled via a dehumidifier 7. In this case, the ratio of the removal volume of the compression means 8 to that of the inflation means 9 is set to 1.5 or higher and 1.7 or lower.
