PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce compression loss and power loss by extending a spiral body of a fixing scroll from a winding end thereof to the vicinity of a winding end of a spiral body of a movable scroll, forming an inner surface of its extending part curvedly, and also arranging a discharge valve on a discharge port of the fixing scroll. SOLUTION: When a movable scroll 3 is revolutionarily driven with respect to a fixing scroll 2 with rotation of a driving shaft 41 by a motor 4, a gas fluid sucked from an intake pipe 7 is compressed in a compression chamber arranged between respective spiral bodies 22, 32 of the scrolls 2, 3, and is discharged from a discharge pipe 8 outward bypassing a communicating hole 61, a connecting passage 1C and a space 1B from a discharge port 23. In such a constituted scroll compressor, the spiral body 22 of the fixing scroll 2 extends from its winding end to the vicinity of a winding end of the spiral body 32 of the movable scroll 3, and an inner surface of its extending part is curvedly formed communicating with the spiral body 22. And a discharge valve is arranged to open/close the discharge port 23 formed on a center part of the fixing scroll 2.
