<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save on gas heating cost, eliminate the generation of a high temperature spot, avoid the clogging of a filter chamber and increase the absorption power of a filter material by treating gas in a wet cleaner before introducing it into a filter and making dust which shows a coagulation action in gas inert in contact with water. SOLUTION: A filter material 1 is introduced through an inlet 3 in the ceiling 4 of a filter chamber 2 and a gas 9 intended for cleaning is made to flow upward from the lower passage 15 of a conduit 12 through the filter 1 after dust which causes the coagulation of the filter 1 is treated to be inert with water using a wet cleaner, and is vented from the filter chamber 2 through a gas outlet 17. The consumed filter material 19 within the range 11 of a floor can be soaked in water from a water inlet 21 upto an appropriate mark 20 of the filter chamber 2. Therefore, the filter material 19 is discharged as a carbon sludge through an outlet 7 and a valve 8. Consequently, as the dust contained in a gas to be treated is rendered inert, the absorption power of the filter material 1 is enhanced without being set. Further, the energy cost is saved because of the non-necessity to heat the gas and thereby the positive safety for a high temperature spot is ensured.</p> |
