PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new DNA fragment containing a specific base sequence and giving a microorganism having a stabilizing function to stably keep a plasmid containing the sequence in the cell of a coryne-form group of bacteria belonging to the genus Brevibacterium and capable of stably producing an objective product. SOLUTION: The objective new DNA fragment has a base sequence having a stabilizing function to keep a plasmid containing the DNA having the above fragment stably in the cell of at least a coryne-form group of bacteria belonging to the genus Brevibacterium and the sequence is expressed by the formula which may contain one or several number of substituted, deleted, inserted or transited bases. The fragment can construct a plasmid which can be kept stably in a coryne-form bacterium without using an agent and is useful e.g. for the breeding of microorganism capable of stably producing various objective products. The DNA fragment was found based on the finding that a fragment obtained by digesting a plasmid originating from Brevibacterium stationis IFO 12144 strain exhibited stabilizing effect on a plasmid in a coryne-form bacterium cell. |
