PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigment-dispersing agent having a wide applying range of resins in which the pigments are dispersed, and further having excellent pigment-dispersing abilities by using a monomer having an amino group and a polycaprolactone skeleton as a polymerization component. SOLUTION: This pigment-dispersing agent comprises a polymer composed of a polymerization component comprising a monomer having an amino group and a polycaprolactone skeleton. Preferably, the monomer is the one of formulas I or II [R1 is H or methyl; R2 and R3 are each a 1-10C alkyl; R4 is a 2-6C alkylene; (n) is 1-100]. For example, the monomer of formula I is obtained by polymerizing ε-caprolactone in the presence of a secondary amine, and adding a (meth)acrylic chloride to the obtained polymer. When an ethylenically unsaturated group is required to be introduced in the polymer, for example, an unsaturated carboxylic acid or the like is used as a copolymerizing component. The amount of the ethylenically unsaturated group introduced thereto is preferably 0.1-5 mmol per gram of the polymer. |
