PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble into transmissions of different specifications by providing a shift yoke operation lever for an arm part provided in a gear shift front shaft end offset from the central position of the shaft and by arranging a shift yoke on a moving locus of the lever. SOLUTION: An arm part 42 offsetting a shift yoke operation lever 48 from the central position of a gear shift front shaft 34 is used. This constitution selectively engaging the lever 48 with a HIGH yoke 36, a LOW yoke 38, or a 5th range reverse yoke 40 arranged on the moving locus of the lever 48 respectively in gear changing operation by a shift lever so as to shift a transmission gear row matching with the shift operation. As a result, when transmissions of different specifications are mounted on a vehicle body, there is no necessity of changing the shift position so that respective members such as a shaft joint, a shift lever case, and a shift lever can be used as they are. This constitution can thus use the components common and hold the cost low.
