PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aliphatic polyester film having excellent transparency, flexing resistance, feedability at the time of processing a film and gas barrier properties after the film is fed while being brought into contact with a component of a film processing unit. SOLUTION: The gas barrier aliphatic polyester film comprises an aluminum oxide. silicon oxide vapor deposited layer laminated at least on one surface of a base material film containing an aliphatic polyester having a main repeating unit of the formula of-O-CHR-CO-(wherein R is a hydrogen or 1-3C alkyl group) as a main component in such a manner that a ratio of the aluminum oxide in the layer is 20 to 99 wt.%; and a specific gravity (D) of the layer and a content (A) of the aluminum oxide satisfy the formulae of b=D-0.01A and 1.6<=b<=2.2 [wherein D: a specific gravity (g/cm3) of the layer, and A: a content (wt.%) of the aluminum oxide in the layer].
