PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically heating catalyst carrier simple in structure and excellent in strength compared with a conventional electrically heating catalyst carrier formed by folding a laminated honeycomb body zigzag. SOLUTION: In the electrically heating catalyst carrier 49 formed by laminating a corrugated plate 31 and a flat plate 33, both of which contain aluminum, winding the laminate around a center electrode 29 to form a core 25 and forcibly inserting the core 25 into an outer cylinder 23, on which an electrode 27 adheres, to electrically connect the outer cylinder 23 to the core 25 and the center electrode 29 to the core 25, at least one of the corrugated plate 31 and the flat plate 33 is oxidized to form an oxide coating film on the surface, and small hole group is formed on a prescribed place of the corrugated plate 31 or the flat plate 33 which is an oxidized material, and the corrugated plate 31 or the flat plate 33 which is the oxidized material, is soldered to the adjacent flat plate 33 or the corrugated plate 31 to each other through the small hole group.
