PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for longitudinally and latitudinally carrying seedling boxes in a ground treatment machine, having a simple structure and capable of accurately, longitudinally and latitudinally carrying the seedling boxes between the surface of the ground and a means for delivering the seedling boxes, while separately using a longitudinally carrying means and a latitudinally carrying means. SOLUTION: A carrying frame 21 is disposed in a state capable of being freely changed into a forward inclined posture for delivering a seedling box N between the carrying frame 21 and the surface of the ground or into an upper posture for delivering the seedling box N between the carrying frame 21 and a rear box-delivering means 10. Longitudinally carrying members each for loading a latitudinally directed seedling box N and longitudinally carrying the seedling box N are disposed in each transfer frame 13. A guide member 46 for supporting, latitudinally moving and guiding a plurality of the transfer frames 13 is disposed in the carrying frame 21. An actuator 47 for moving the transfer frames 13 is further disposed in the carrying frame 21 so that the transfer frames 13 are moved to a position for delivering the seedling box N to the surface of the ground or a position for delivering the seedling box to the box-delivering means 10.
