PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable small lumber-collecting machine capable of simply and lightly tensing or loosing an endless line spanned at a site for collecting lumbers by the use of the lumber-collecting machine, capable of forcedly shortening a distance between the position of a pulley and a drum to prevent the lumber-collecting machine from falling, capable of reducing the size of the machine, and capable of spanning the line for a long distance. SOLUTION: A lumber-collecting machine is loaded on a work vehicle having a moving ability, and the work vehicle is forward or backward moved to tense or loose an endless line 8, thus simply spanning the endless line 8. A fleet angle- securing pulley 12 is disposed between a pulley angle 5 and a lifting drum 13 to maintain the fleet angle and simultaneously lower the position of a guide pulley 4, thus reducing the size of the machine and decreasing a force for bringing down the lumber-collecting machine. The position of the fleet angle-securing pulley 12 is adjusted to enlarge the width of the lifting drum 13 and increase a capacity for winding up a wire rope. Thus, the endless line can be spanned for a long distance.
