PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the take-out amount of seedlings in the longitudinal direction by means of a seedling take-out controller through a simple mechanical constitution in no need of inexpensive Bowden wire, simultaneously permits the automatic control of the longitudinal feed of the seedlings with the longitudinal feeder so that the controlled take-out amount of the seedlings in the longitudinal direction may coincide with the longitudinal feed of the seedlings placed on the longitudinal seedling feeder. SOLUTION: A regulator 64 is linked to the lever for controlling seedling take-out so that the set value of the longitudinal feed rate of the placed seedlings 10 may be changed corresponding to the longitudinal moving width of the seedling bed 11 by the operation of the lever for controlling the seedling take-out rate 37. The mutually contacting position 90 between the regulator 64 and the driving arm 63 varies corresponding to the operation of the lever for controlling the seedling take-out rate 37, while at least one of contacting faces of the regulator 64 and the driving arm 63 are curved so that the longitudinal seedling take-out rate that is controlled by the seedling take-out controller 44 may almost coincide with the longitudinal feed rate of the seedlings 10 placed on the seedling bed 11 that is controlled by the longitudinal seedling feeder 58.
