PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To postpone the idling elapse time for automatically stopping the engine in temporary stop by the driver's will. SOLUTION: An idling stop device of an engine is to stop automatically the idling operation on the basis of the specified idling stopping conditions including the idling elapse time and is composed of a car speed sensor 1 to sense the car speed, engine speed sensor 2 to sense the engine speed, a neutral position sensor 3 to sense the neutral position of a transmission device, a parking brake sensor 4 to sense the On/Off condition of the parking brake, a cab tilt sensor 5 to sense the tilting of the cabin, and a control device 6 to issue an alarm upon judging the continue/stop of the idling on the basis of the signals from the sensors and the preentered information and perform automatic stop of the idling, wherein a stop start postponing device 9 for postponing the stop of idling is coupled with the control device 6 so that the stop of idling is postponed even in the condition that the idling stop conditions are met. |
