PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of an accident cause by the failure of a braking device so as to ensure the safety of a vehicle occupant's life more accurately by providing a depressing force detecting device for detecting accurate depressing force acting upon a brake pedal being rid of a disturbance factor and an unstable element, and a performance evaluation device successively monitoring the operating appropriateness of the braking device during the operation of a vehicle while reflecting the actual behavior of a brake fluid using the depressing force detecting device. SOLUTION: A performance evaluation device for a braking device using a depressing force detecting device is provided with a P* computing means 51 for computing the ideal oil pressure value P* corresponding to depressing force on the basis of depressing force information from a depressing force detecting sensor 12 embedded and fixed into a hole provided in an arm part of a brake pedal; aΔP computing means 52 for obtaining a judgment parameterΔP corresponding to the difference between the ideal oil pressure value P* from the P* computing means 51 and master oil pressure P from an oil pressure sensor 45 provided at a master cylinder; and an abnormality signal output means 56 for controlling an alarm notification lamp 46 for notifying a vehicle occupant of the presence of residual air in a brake pipe or fluid leakage of an inline system using the judgment parameterΔP from theΔP computing means 52. |
