PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for spreading baits for fishing, in which fishing baits can avoid being taken away by fish preying on the baits before reaching a continental shelf and fish preying on the baits avoid being fished and both spreading baits and fishhooks having fishing baits are securely discharged outside without the snarl of fishhooks. SOLUTION: This tool 20 for spreading baits has a cylindrical body 23 which has in the upper part a water-passing part 21 where water can pass through but spreading baits cannot pass through when being falling in the water and in the bottom an opening 22 where spreading baits and fishhooks can pass through, and acts as a sinker and a joining part 24 in the upper part of the body 23.
