PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fire resistive composite building material in which while maintaining heat resistance, workability, nailing properties and water resistance, impact resistance and surface strength are enhanced and coating properties of the surface are more improved. SOLUTION: A reinforcing layer 4 consisting of a thermosetting resin 1 and an inorganic fiber 2 is provided on the surface on at least one side of a platelike body 3. The platelike body consists of, for example, lightweight aggregate or an inorganic foam and a binder. In the platelike body 3, external layers 31 consisting of a mineral fiber and the binder are preferably formed on both sides or one side of a core layer 30 consisting of an inorganic foam and the binder.
