Apparatus of applying a cover (8) to a grip (2) of a golf club (1) or other handled sporting implement and a method for applying a cover (8) to a grip (2), including an applicator (11) for use in the method for applying said cover to the grips of golf clubs or other handled sporting implements. The apparatus comprising a cover (8) for said grip (2) being generally cylindrical and being open at both ends, whereby said grip has a gripping surface adapted to form the outer surface of the cover when said cover is applied to a grip; an applicator tube (11) having two open ends and being of a large enough diameter to fit over said grip; and a fastening means adapted to attach a first end of said cover around a first end of the applicator tube. |
