PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for firing a new carbon fiber-contg. ceramic material without separating the carbon fiber from the ceramic material. SOLUTION: A carbon fiber 2 and a combustible material such as saw dust and chaff are added to a ceramic source material such as clay and mineral powder, kneaded and fired into a ceramic material 1. By firing the material into a ceramic material, the combustible material is completely combusted to produce vacancies 3, and the ceramic material 1 containing the carbon fiber 2 and vacancies 3 can be produced. The ceramic material can be used for a heat generator of resistance heating or a refractory material of a heating furnace by using the conductivity of the carbon fiber. |
