Method for the treatment and utilisation of purifier sludges in order to obtain materials for civil engineering works which comprises the stages of provision of the sludges requiring treatment, selected from either fresh sludges which form a sludge/water emulsion with a water content by weight of between 50% and 80% or dry sludges having a proportion by weight of water of less than 20%, the addition of a hydraulic binder to the sludges, the addition if necessary of water in order to obtain a mixture with a suitable proportion of water for correct setting of the binder, and mixing the sludges with the hydraulic binder.
